Have a Small Project?

All jobs are created equal.

Chicago archotect firm commercial, residential, auto dealerships

As you may know, our firm is involved in different project types: Residential (Single and Multi-Family Development), Retail & Office Build-outs and Auto Dealerships. We have been fortunate over our 26-year history to have been involved with many high-end projects. This has had the unintentional effect of branding us a firm that only does expensive and larger-scale buildings. Many of the projects that have been featured on our site, published in shelter magazines or televised on HGTV have been high-budget serving to reinforce this message.

While we are flattered with the publicity, this has led would-be clients to avoid calling us, fearing that their project may be too small.

I've gotten a number of calls that began, "I'm sure this job is too small for your firm, but....."

Please hold that thought.

In recent years, we've taken on many Small Projects (including a half dozen currently in construction). And we've designed them professionally, efficiently and competitively. While we still work on larger projects, we are equally fortunate to have a mix of smaller projects too. We would like this trend to continue.

What's a Small Project? It could be many things:

  • Upgrading a house exterior
  • Bathroom rehabs
  • Rethinking the layout of a home, apartment or office
  • Space planning
  • Design evaluation of a house or office before buying or renting
  • A small addition such as a porch, sunroom, family room or master bedroom
  • An attached or detached garage
  • Reconfiguring a kitchen using the same space more efficiently

Small Projects don't have to be costly. They can be reasonable and produce great value and improve quality of life. We bill hourly against a cap or establish a fixed fee, whichever you prefer.

And we have great resources in quality local contractors so we can help you get it built.

We're proud to be recommended by Chicago Home + Garden Magazine, Angie's List and Franklin Report.
